Having invested over \u00a32.5 billion in\u00a0AI\u00a0since 2014, this paper builds on recent announcements of \u00a3110 million for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukri.org\/news\/250m-to-secure-the-uks-world-leading-position-in-technologies-of-tomorrow\/\"><abbr title=\"Artificial Intelligence\">AI<\/abbr>\u00a0Tech Missions Fund<\/a>, \u00a3900 million to establish a new\u00a0AI\u00a0Research Resource and to develop an exascale supercomputer capable of running large\u00a0AI\u00a0models \u2013 backed up by our new \u00a38 million\u00a0AI\u00a0Global Talent Network and \u00a3117 million of existing funding to create hundreds of new\u00a0PhDs\u00a0for\u00a0AI\u00a0researchers.
